NROL-85 mission was launched on April 17, 2022, under the USA-327 satellite. The launch happened in Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) located In Santa Barbara County, California using the Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket. It is positioned in Low Earth orbit 63 (LEO 63). The design is based on Intruder 13A & 13B or Naval Ocean Surveillance System (NOSS). Its function is as a Naval reconnaissance, a series of signals-intelligence satellites that have conducted electronic signals intelligence for the U.S. Navy since the early 1970s. Its current status was presumed active and was able to enter outer space and do its service.
