NROL-1 Mission was nicknamed "Nemesis" with the satellite designation USA-179. This launch happened August 31st of 2004 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Space Launch Complex 36A (SLC-36A) located on Cape Canaveral in Brevard County, Florida using the Atlas IIAS rocket. It is positioned in Molniya orbit,39,053 × 1,316 km × 63.7°. The design is based on Quasar 15 or Satellite Data System (SDS). Its function is as Communications satellite, an artificial satellite that relays and amplifies radio telecommunication signals via a transponder; it creates a communication channel between a source transmitter and a receiver at different locations on Earth. Its current status was unknown but was able to enter outer space and do its service.
