AFSOC is the Air Force's special operations component. This command is headquartered at Hurlburt Field, Florida.

AFRC headquartered at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia is the federal Air Reserve Component of the U.S. Air Force. AFRC also works in supporting the new Space Force through the 310th Space Wing.

AFGSC finds its headquarters at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. Its primary objective is to provide combat-ready forces to conduct strategic nuclear deterrence and global strike operations in support of combatant commanders.

AETC is headquartered at Randolph Air Force Base and is the primary training and professional education command in the Air Force.

ACC is the primary provider of air combat forces for the Air Force. The command is headquarteded at Langley Air Force Base. 

NEAC active from 1950-1957, was tasked with the defense and operation of air bases in Labrador, Greenland and Newfoundland.
