Description

NROL-6 mission was nicknamed "Jack", launched on May 9, 1998, under USA-139 satellite. The launch happened in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) located In Cape Canaveral at the north end of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida using the Titan IV/Centaur rocket. It is positioned in Geosynchronous orbit (GSO), 35,945 × 35,642 km × 8.4°. The design is based on Orion 4. Its function is as a Signals intelligence (SIGINT), intelligence-gathering by interception of signals, whether communications between people or from electronic signals not directly used in communication. Its current status was presumed active and was able to enter outer space and do its service.
