Description

NROL-36 mission was launched on September 13, 2012, under the USA-238 satellite. The launch happened in Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), Space Launch Complex 3E (SLC-3E) located In Santa Barbara County, California using the Atlas V 401 rocket. It is positioned in Low Earth orbit, 1,225 × 1,001 km × 63.4°. The design is based on Intruder 10A & 10B or Naval Ocean Surveillance System (NOSS). Its function is as a Naval reconnaissance, a series of signals-intelligence satellites that have conducted electronic signals intelligence for the U.S. Navy since the early 1970s. Its current status was presumed active and was able to enter outer space and do its service.
