Description

NROL-4 mission was nicknamed "Oscar", launched on November 8, 1997, under USA-136 satellite. The launch happened in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Space Launch Complex 41 (SLC-41) located In Cape Canaveral in Brevard County, Florida using the Titan IV/Centaur rocket. It is positioned in Molniya orbit, 36,523 × 3,849 km × 63.6°. The design is based on Trumpet 3. Its function is as Signals intelligence (SIGINT) or ELINT, intelligence-gathering by interception of signals, whether communications between people or from electronic signals not directly used in communication. Its current status was unknown but was able to enter outer space and do its service.
