Description

NROL-10 mission was nicknamed "Ursa Major or Great Bear", launched on December 6, 2000, under the USA-155 satellite. The launch happened in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Space Launch Complex 36 (SLC-36) located on Cape Canaveral in Brevard County, Florida using the Atlas IIAS rocket. It is positioned in Geosynchronous orbit (GSO), 35,854 × 35,732 km × 9.3°. The design is based on Quasar 13 or Satellite Data System. Its function is as Communications satellite, an artificial satellite that relays and amplifies radio telecommunication signals via a transponder; it creates a communication channel between a source transmitter and a receiver at different locations on Earth. Its current status was presumed active but was able to enter outer space and do its service.
