Eglin Air Force Base Patch

Eglin Air Force Base is a US Air Force base located in the western Florida Panhandle, 5 km southwest of Valparaiso in Okaloosa County. Built in 1935, operated by US Air Force and controlled by Air Force Materiel Command.
Its host unit is 96th Test Wing, 96 TW is the test and evaluation center for Air Force air-delivered weapons, navigation, and guidance systems.
The base is named in honor of Lt. Col. Frederick Eglin.
