Holloman Air Force Base Patch
Description
Holloman Air Force Base is a US Air Force base established in 1942 and located 10 km southwest of the central business district of Alamogordo. It was named in honor of Col. George Holloman, a pioneer in guided missile research.
Its host unit is the 49th Wing of the AETC.
The base also supports the nearby White Sands Missile Range and currently hosts the Royal Air Force RPAS and the Italian Air Force RPA training course.
