Laughlin Air Force Base Patch

Laughlin Air Force Base is a facility of the US Air Force located east of Del Rio, Texas. Built in 1943 and controlled by Air Education and Training Command. Its host unit is the 47th Flying Training Wing.
The base was named after Jack Laughlin, a B-17E Flying Fortress pilot.
The base served as a training venue for the crew in preparation for their Korean assignment in 1952.
