Description

The Connecticut State Flag consists of blue field background, coat of arms in the center with three grapevines and a ribbon below the arms with inscription of "Qui Transtulit Sustinet". The blue background was the standard shade for regimental colours, the coat of arms in the center with three grapevines represents the colonies or the first three area towns established by Europeans (Hartford, Wethersfield, and Windsor). The ribbon below the arms with inscription of Latin is a motto which is a translation to "He who transplanted sustains".
