Description

Colorado Rockies is an American club of professional baseball players. It was founded in 1993 by Richard and Charles Monfort and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, USA.
A group of owners representing Denver led by John Antonucci and Michael Monus received a franchise in 1991. Because it is close to the Rocky Mountains, the team was then named the Rocky Mountains. A year later, they left their main activity due to financial scandals.
The team began playing as an expansion team for the 1993 season. They first earned NL (National League) pennant after winning 14 or their final 15 games in the regular season securing a Wild Card entry.
From 2017 to the present, consists of only two elements, the overlapping letters "C" and "R" in silver color with a black outline. The letter "C" stands for the State of Colorado and "R" stands for the team's nickname Rockies.
