Description
The 158th Airlift Squadron (158 AS) is a unit of the Georgia Air National Guard's 165th Airlift Wing (165 AW) located at Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia. The 158th is equipped with the C-130H Hercules and is operationally-gained by the Air Mobility Command (AMC). Its role is for Airlifting and has been active since October 1942. Its major engagement was on World War II, deployed to European theater of operations in June 1943 and was demobilized in England in 1945.
