Description

The 112th Fighter Squadron (112 FS) is a unit of the Ohio Air National Guard 180th Fighter Wing located at Toledo Air National Guard Base, Ohio. The 112th is equipped with the F-16C/D Fighting Falcon. It has been active since 1917 up to the present, as part of Air Combat Command. It is one of the 29 original National Guard Observation Squadrons of the US Army National Guard. One of its prominent members is Lt. Col. Addison Earl Baker who piloted the bombing mission of oil refineries at Ploiesti, Romania. In March 1944, he was awarded the Medal of Honor.
