The Oklahoma State Flag originally adopted on April 2, 1925, designed by Louise Funk Fluke consists of blue field background, shield, olive branch and peace pipe, six crosses, and seven eagle feathers.
The blue field signifies devotion and the shield signifies defense or protection in war.
The olive branch and peace pipe symbolize European Americans and Native Americans.
The six crosses represents Native American signs for stars, representing high ideals.
