6990th Electronic Security Squadron Patch
Description
6990 ESS was part of the 390th Intelligence Squadron lineage. Activated in Kadena Air Base, Okinawa in July 1967. It reports to 6922nd Security Wing for command supervision and administrative control. USAFSS commander Maj. Gen. Louis Coira selected Lt. Col. Doyle Larson to activate and command the squadron.
