Description
The 150th Special Operations Squadron (150 SOS), equipped with the C-32B aircraft, is a unit of the 108th Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard. It provides a global airlift to special response teams within the Department of Defense and other agencies. Its role is for transport, nicknamed as "Guardians of the gate" with the motto "Count on Us Bet on Us", and has been active from 1956 up to 2008. In 2020 it won an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. It was the first air refueling unit to launch tankers to establish the US-Saudi Arabia "Air Bridge" during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
