148th Fighter Squadron
Description
The 148th Fighter Squadron (148 FS) is a unit of the Arizona Air National Guard 162d Fighter Wing located at Tucson Air National Guard Base, Arizona. The 148th is equipped with the Block 20 F-16A/B Fighting Falcon. Its role is for Foreign Military Sales pilot training, nicknamed "Kickin Ass" and has been in service since 1985. It specializes in training F-16 pilots which have purchased the aircraft via the Foreign Military Sales program. It was tasked to train F-16 crew for the USAF advanced and beginner training.
