Description
The 128th Airborne Command and Control Squadron (128 ACCS) is a unit of the Georgia Air National Guard 116th Air Control Wing located at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The 128th is equipped with the E-8C Joint STARS. Its role is as Airborne Command and Control, has engagements in World War II, Vietnam War, Korean War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has been active since February 1918. During World War II it was engaged in a long-range strategic bombardment of a military enemy, transport, and industrial targets, including oil refineries and oilfields in France, Italy, Austria, Southern Germany, and the Balkans.
