Description
The 127th Command and Control Squadron (127 CACS) is a unit of the Kansas Air National Guard 184th Intelligence Wing stationed at McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas. The 127th is a non-flying squadron operating the Distributed Common Ground System. Its major role was for intelligence, nicknamed "Jayhawks" and was active from July 1940 up to September 2014. During World War II it played a significant role in mission activities like the evacuation of wounded, supply drops, cargo flights, and courier duties.
